SPICY CARROT TOMATO

The heat  in this pureed soup comes from togarashi, a Japanese spice mix of orange peel, black sesame seeds, seaweed, Japanese pepper and ginger. Sake helps build depth of flavor and coconut milk adds both heft and a little creaminess.
