DURHAM MARKET ASSISTANT (PART TIME)
Help out at the Durham Farmers' Market during the winter when market hours are shortened.  Help set up alongside our market staff person, then hand out samples, grab orders, work the register and help pack up.  Paid as a contractor starting at $16/hr.

AVAILABILITY REQUIRED:
> Saturdays, 8:30am - 12:15pm
This market runs year round and our market staff are expected to work in all kinds of weather including cold temps and rain.

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE HAS:
> Great attention to detail and quality in all aspects of work
> Experience with farming, food prep and dish washing, and/or selling at farmers’ markets
> A love of vegetarian or vegan food

> Able to work quickly, cleanly & efficiently, with a sense of urgency & purpose
> Organized and is a stickler for details in all aspects of work
> Open to giving & receiving feedback in a mutually respectful context
> Respectful towards the product, equipment, and other people
> A team player, including excellent communication, both written and verbal
> A self-starter who can keep themselves on track to fully complete tasks with a positive can-do attitude
> Organized and be prompt at responding to text and email communication
